Tonka Beans

Tonka beans - seeds from a tree found in South America. Tonka beans taste similar to vanilla beans and bitter almonds. They are even called "Mexican vanilla". The beans are typically grated and added to the liquid, then stirred on a medium heat. Or they can also be infused into the liquid to get distinctive new flavors.
